First weekend of work at the plot

March is here and that means it’s time to get to work! We have enjoyed some quality R&R over this mild winter and are now gearing up for the season. Yesterday Spink planted a couple of beds of greens under row cover and we have 5 flats of 270 soil blocks each of spinach, kale, lettuce, beets, and shallots. I guess that means we are going to continue with this farming thing again this year. Here are a few pics from this weekend.

Annabel, sorry to hear about the bees. I took the class this year and will probably be a beekeeper myself. Hey, where did you send your soil sample? Can you share what I need to do and how long it took to get it back? I have a dirt problem 🙂

        Thanks!
