we are finally getting tomatoes! and soon to have too many…..

more tomatoes on the vine
some of our tomato plants look diseased. not sure what this is all about. the plants still have tomatoes, but the leaves look terrible. any ideas what this is?

Your tomatoes have a black spot fungus. We have this too, from so much rain this summer. We have plucked all the diseased greens from the stalks–doesn’t stop the fruit from getting ripe and are spraying with diluted Neem Oil. It’s organic! You can find it at http://www.neemresource.com. Thanks for your comment! We will try the Neem Oil. We have too many tomatoes this year….I have brought some in to work and sharing with neighbors. Too few to can and preserve, but too many to eat ourselves. I guess that’s a good thing.
